BDAY Style Guide Slay

On Friday, I got the chance to celebrate my 25th birthday at Blend on the Water with some close friends of mine. Just being around them made me realize what more I want to accomplish and what I need to prioritize for this next chapter in my life.

That night alone made me realize how great my support system is and how important it is knowing that although you have that support, every now and again, these individuals are not afraid to bring you back to reality from time to time.

In all, birthdays for me are a time of reflection and represents a period in what else I should focus on to reach my endeavors.

But for this birthday in particular, I wanted to incorporate things I’ve never tried in the past before due to fear.

With that being said, I bring to you my BDAY STYLE GUIDE SLAY!!!!!!!!

Some key elements I ideally wanted to focus on was contrasting silver and gold to my wardrobe. In the past, I would never pair the two together because I always felt as though it looked odd. However, once I managed to narrow down on the dress, I figured why not step outside of the box and really play around with these tones to shine for my 25th. Once I stumbled upon this LOVE CULTURE Silver Plunge Draped Hi–Lo Dress, I wanted to find a caged sandal to appropriately make both pieces stand out but with a minimalist approach. I then purchased a gold choker from Forever 21. I couldn’t find the exact same choker  I wore that night online for you fashionistas, but I managed to find a choker that was quite similar to mine 🙂
