Normally, I don’t rely on social media to voice my personal opinions as a result of fear. My biggest fear of all is dealing with individuals who either choose to not understand the severity of it all or simply just turn the other cheek and remain oblivious to what has been occurring in our world.
I decided to instead turn tonight’s blog into an open Journal Entry to those who wish to no longer live in fear and live with the knowledge in knowing that it’s okay to voice your opinion regardless of how others might feel.
So tonight, Takemetotheheights will take a brief pause from its love of Fashion and highlight the significance behind what has occurred to my very own thoughts since Tuesday, November 8th 2016.
I’ve come to the realization, (after viewing who our next President will be) that regardless of whose in office, I know that I have so many dreams and goals to accomplish.
I also realized that I still hold the power to my very own destiny and that no one has the ability to take that away from me.
I hold the key to open impossible doors that I never thought in my wildest dreams I would ever reach at this age. Thus far, I’ve managed to reach a few “heights” in my educational career. Despite some hurdles along the way, I know that deep down He wouldn’t put me in a situation I wouldn’t be able to handle.
But before I end tonights entry, I hope that in the end, we can continue to educate ourselves as well as our peers and generations to come as well as provide necessary support.
Just know, it’s never too late to do what it is what your heart truly desires. I’m just glad I was able to use takemetotheheights as a platform to share my thoughts with you.
So readers, please during this time not only must we be mindful to those and their personal beliefs, but let’s be able to respect those views all the while focusing on reaching “The Heights”.
Thank you for allowing me to voice how I’ve been feeling so far.
If you can take this time to simply just share this blog with your friends and loved ones, I would greatly appreciate it.
With peace and love,
