This is probably the hardest blog post I’ve ever had to share with you all. Coming into September has truly been trying for me.
As of lately, I haven’t been feeling like myself. I feel as though I’m inadequate. Like I’m not enough. Typically when I feel this way I hide. I disappear well from everything and anyone. I find myself questioning my self-worth and if the things I say or do mean anything.
However, as much as I found myself succumbing to those old habits of mine, I knew deep down that I needed to change that for the better.
I no longer wanted to nor felt the need to hide from the world. I wanted to be able to continue to be in a space where I can still share with you all despite what I’ve been going through.
It’s not easy but I’m glad I’m in a space where I can better communicate my feelings without feeling awkward or defeated.
I decided to share these moments with you all for the simple fact that there might be someone or even a group of people who might be experiencing this firsthand. I just wanted to let you know that you’re not alone and if you can, take the time to either write what’s been going on or even reach out to a loved one.
Even taking the time to share my thoughts has been therapeutic for me. It literally feels as though a weight has been lifted off. Trust me, it hasn’t been easy. Even typing out this blog post took a lot for me. The perfectionist in me constantly kept changing and omitting things in this post. But I needed to bare it all and truly be my most vulnerable self with all of you.
Never feel afraid of stripping your layers or tearing down your walls.
If you ever find yourself questioning your value or what you do…STOP.
It’ll cause you to undermine everything you’ve done and plan to do. You are an invaluable asset to not only yourself but to others around you.
Before I end of this blog post, I just wanted to say don’t allow your setbacks or even negative thoughts deter you from creating something beautiful. You’ll be able to look back and be proud of all that you’ve accomplished. You are more than your pain. You are much more than those negative thoughts. You are truly a masterpiece. Never ever forget that.
If you’re looking to reach out or even share how you’ve been, don’t hesitate in shooting me an email at Takemetotheheights@gmail.com.
As always with peace and so much love,
Magz 💛
Needed this. Thanks. Feel better. God bless 🙏🏾
